
Hilton Dwight Hart, 85, of East Longmeadow, MA husband of the late Barbara (Prew) Hart entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at East Village Place in East Longmeadow, MA.
Hilton was born April 16, 1931, in Westfield, MA the son of the late Elmer and Edna (Wyman) Hart. Hilton served as a cook in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by Control Data and The Hartford. For many years, along with his parents, in-laws, wife and children, Hilton picked blueberries on weekends for Mo Pease at Blueberry Heaven in Middlefield, MA.
He was a deacon and choir member at the Congregational Church of Windsor Locks. He also served as Indian Guide leader and volunteer fireman in Windsor. He previously lived in Windsor and Broad Brook. Hilton and Barb also volunteered their time for many organizations, especially Springfield Rescue Mission, The Salvation Army and Enfield Loaves and Fishes. They loved to travel and visited all 50 states. Hilton loved to tell stories of growing up in the small town of Blandford, MA, and he had a lifelong love of hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors.

Hilton is survived by his three sons: Gary and his wife, Jahn of Feeding Hills, MA, Jody and his wife, Mary of Springfield, MA, Dan and his wife, Carol of Enfield; his grandchildren: Rebekah, Andrew, Timothy, Sarah, Corrie, Teresa, Susanne, Nathan, Rose, Miguel and Joseph; great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Jacob, Coralie and several nieces and nephews. Hilton was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Auer, two sisters: Bernice Bourassa, Elaine Hughes and two brothers: Erwin Hart, Glenn Hart.
The family would like to thank the staff of East Village Place in East Longmeadow, MA and Bay State Hospice, for their wonderful and compassionate care of Hilton.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service for Hilton will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 10:30 am at the Congregational Church of Windsor Locks, 8 Main St., Windsor Locks. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
