Windsor Obituary: James Greeno, 61

James F. Greeno, 61, of Windsor, beloved husband of Kay (Evans) Greeno, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Springfield, MA to John Sr. and Katherine (Whalen) Greeno, he has been a Windsor resident for almost 35 years. James worked as a quality control engineer at Superior Electric and in his spare time he enjoyed camping, his yearly Thanksgiving Eve poker games, and fixing things around the house, but his true passion was spending time with his family and friends, including his beloved dogs. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife Kay of Windsor, he is survived by his parents, John and Katherine Greeno of East Hartford; his son Andrew Greeno of Windsor; his daughter Erin Greeno of Windsor; his brothers Thomas Greeno of South Windsor and John Greeno Jr. of East Hartford.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 1 at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave Poquonock, followed by burial in Elm Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Friday, June 30 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
