Jean E. (Morgan) Alford, 94, wife of the late Alden Huntington Alford, passed away, Saturday, October 7, 2017.
Born in Windsor, daughter of the late Ralph and Edith (Roberts) Morgan, she was the 10th generation of the Morgan family to spend their life time in Windsor. She was a member of the First Church in Windsor, Congregational, the John Warham Society of the Church, and the Windsor Historical Society.
Jean graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing where she received her Registered Nurse designation.

She leaves her son Frederick Alford and daughter Gayle Alford both of Windsor, a sister Gayle Morgan Baldwin of Wethersfield; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a son Alden Alford.
Her family will receive friends Friday, October 13, 2017, from 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:30 pm at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Avenue, Poquonock section of Windsor. The Rev. Nicole Grant Yonkman will officiate. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Poquonock.
