Windsor Obituary: Leroy Canty, Jr., 51

Leroy Canty, Jr., 51, of Windsor, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018, at Hartford Hospital.

Born in Hartford on September 8, 1966, son of Dorothy (Hightower) Canty and the late Leroy Canty, Sr., he attended the Bloomfield and Windsor public schools. He was employed in various jobs, including the US Postal Service as a temporary mail carrier and as a truck driver for Sherman Williams Paints.

Besides his mother, he leaves to mourn his passing, three siblings, Ernest Canty and Lucinda Canty both of Windsor, and Harriett Canty of Vernon; a nephew, Ryan A. McDonald; and a host of relatives and friends. He will be missed dearly!

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 7, 10 a.m.-12 Noon, followed by a Homegoing Service at 12 noon, at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 350 Albany Ave., Hartford. Burial will be private in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield.
