Windsor Obituary: Linda Petersen, 73

Linda (Lovering) Petersen, 73, of Enfield, beloved wife of Gary L. Petersen, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Albert and Norma (Waldren) Lovering, she was raised in Windsor, graduating from Windsor High School in 1962 and moving to Enfield in 1967. She was a member of the Enfield Congregational Church, where she taught Sunday School for several years.

She had a passion for needlepoint and ceramics and enjoyed baking, especially cookies and pies and operated her own business, Fresh To You, for several years. Linda loved holidays and the joy of spending those times with family and friends.

Besides her husband Gary, of 55 years, she leaves two sons Mitchell T. Petersen (Carolyn) and Troy A. Petersen; a daughter Kimberly P. Donovan (Kevin) all of Enfield; five grandchildren Rosemary, Christian, and Melanie Petersen and Leah and Brenna Donovan; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Thomas Lovering and a sister Patricia DeMay.

Her family will receive friends Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 3-6 pm at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10 AM at the Enfield Congregational Church, 1295 Enfield Street, Enfield. A reception will follow the service. Burial will be in the spring at Chickville Cemetery, Ossipee, NH.
