Windsor Obituary: Oswald Libert, 71

Condolences to his family and friends.

Oswald R. Libert, 71, beloved husband of Andrea (Brown) Libert, passed away peacefully Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.

Born February 15, 1945 in Trinidad & Tobago, son of the late Elric and Estellita (Glenn) Libert, he lived in Manchester before moving to Windsor 21 years ago. Oswald was employed 13 years by H & B Tool in South Windsor before working for MB Aerospace Technology for nearly 25 years before retiring.

He was a member of South United Methodist Church, Manchester. He enjoyed fishing, music, dining out and traveling, especially to Martha's Vineyard on Cape Cod.

The family would like to send special thanks to his many physicians and caregivers.

He was predeceased by two brothers; Elwin and Addington. Besides Andrea, his wife of 37 years, he is survived by his five children, Algernon Libert of GA, Ociana Libert of Trinidad & Tobago, Anthony Libert and his wife Niketa of MD, Andrew Libert of Windsor, Oswald Libert, Jr. of Windsor Locks; a brother; two sisters; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews from NY, Canada and the Netherlands. In addition his beloved in laws; The Brown, Gordon and Davis families. Also close family friends, the Dunbar and Chance families.

The Liberts will welcome and receive friends Monday, December 19, 2016 from 10-11 AM a Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
