
Peter J. Raskauskas, 60, of Windsor, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.
Peter was born December 16, 1955, in Roswell, New Mexico the son of Florence (Karpiej) Raskauskas of Windsor and the late Joseph S. Raskauskas. Peter attended the University of Hartford majoring in Mechanical Engineering, but shortly into his college years he found his calling as a Master Carpenter. Peter was employed as a Master Carpenter with the local carpenters union. He was very humble about his work as a carpenter, but was very proud to have worked on the restoration of the State Capitol. He enjoyed tending to his garden and was an exceptional marksman competing throughout the state.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his two brothers, William Raskauskas and his wife, Mary of East Granby, Joseph Raskauskas and his wife, Patricia of East Hartland; his sister, Caroline Raskauskas of Windsor; his three nephews, William, Joseph and Thomas Raskauskas.

Peter's family would like to thank the many, doctors, nurses, dialysis nurses and staff members and ambulance personnel who have helped throughout Peter's illness.

Funeral services and burial for Peter will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
