Windsor Obituary: Priscilla Silliman, 95

Condolences to her family and friends.

Priscilla Huntington Silliman, 95, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Robert T. Silliman passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Born August 18, 1922 in Hartford, daughter of the late Charles A. Huntington, Jr. and Margaret (Stinson) Huntington she lived in Windsor all her life. Growing up she helped on the family tobacco farm, Huntington Brothers. She graduated from Chaffee School in 1940 and from Skidmore College in 1944.

Priscilla was a longtime member of the Descendent of the Founders of Ancient Windsor, she was involved with many church activities at Poquonock Community Church and was an avid golfer and bowler. She was her husband’s bookkeeper when he operated Camp Supply Co. and Winding Brook Farms.

Priscilla was the matriarch of the family, she leaves to remember her, a son, William Silliman and his wife, Holly of Windsor, two daughters, Mary Silliman Myers and her spouse, Calvin of East Windsor, Martha Silliman Fisher and her spouse, Cynthia of Granby; a brother, Sidney Huntington and his wife, Helen of Naples, FL; two sisters, Patricia Huntington of Chelsea, MI; sister-in-law, Barbara Huntington of Windsor; six grandchildren, Jennifer Myers Rouleau and her husband, Brian, Christine Myers Marschall and her husband, Nick, Erika Ruiz and her husband, Cirilo, Evan Themaras and his wife, Brittany, Amy Elizabeth Matthews and her husband, Ryan, Tyler Silliman; five great grandchildren, William, Kaitlyn, Ella, Avery and Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, George Themaras; two brothers, William and Edward Huntington; a granddaughter, Jacquelyn Silliman.

Her family will receive friends Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1-4 PM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018, 10:00 AM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home.
