Windsor Obituary: Victoria Noga, 96

Condolences to her family and friends.

Victoria M. Noga, 96, of Windsor, beloved wife of 56 years to the late Felix Noga, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.

Born August 20, 1921 in Windsor Locks, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Gutta) Zimowski, she grew up in Windsor Locks before moving to Windsor. Victoria worked for Pearl Harbor’s base commander after WW II during its rebuilding phase. When she returned to Windsor she was employed by the Town of Windsor before starting a family.

She was a parishioner of St. Gabriel Church, where she was a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She enjoyed crocheting for her family and friends as well as making hats and mittens for the students at Sweeny School in Willimantic. She also enjoyed gardening and bird watching, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Michael Noga of Windsor; two daughters, Kathleen Caron of North Windham, Felicia O’Brien and her husband, William of Columbia; a sister, Julia Wieliczka and her husband, Stanley of Windsor Locks; a sister-in-law, Antionette Zimowski of Chicopee, MA; a brother-in-law, Walter Graczyk of Suffield; six grandchildren, Alfred, David and Katelyn Caron, Andrew O’Brien and his wife, Kacee, Megan O’Brien and her fiancé, William Baro, Nora O’Brien; one great granddaughter, Willow Anne O’Brien; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Alfred Caron; two sisters, Helen Graczyk, and Mary Fetko and her husband Anthony; and brother Stanley Zimowski.

Her family is grateful for her devoted and loving caregiver, Lovia Agyepong.

Her family will receive friends Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Family and friends may gather Friday, February 16, 2018, 9:00 AM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM, at St. Gabriel Church, Windsor. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Poquonock section of Windsor.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Gabriel Church Memorial Fund, c/o St. Damien of Molokai Parish, 379 Broad St., Windsor, CT 06095.
