Windsor Pit Bull Kills 2 Dogs, Residents Demand Response

Some residents are requesting the town enforce a muzzle statute after two small dogs were killed.

WINDSOR, CT - Residents of a local neighborhood came to a town council meeting recently after a pit bull terrier killed two other dogs, according to the Hartford Courant. Several residents said they are now afraid to walk their dogs after the two incidents.

The pit bull is owned by a Maple Avenue resident who has declined to muzzle the dog, saying that it would be unable to defend itself if attacked.

A town official said at the meeting that the town is legally unable to enforce the muzzle ordinance as it is currently constituted.
