Windsor Resident Named New Leader in the Law

The Connecticut Law Tribune has recognized Robinson+Cole lawyer Pamela H. Del Negro as a New Leader in the Law. She was honored at an awards dinner on October 3 at The Bond Ballroom in Hartford. This distinction spotlights lawyers under the age of 40 who have excelled in the courtroom, in client service and cultivation, in service to bar associations, and in performing pro bono work or community service in a volunteer capacity.

Ms. Del Negro advises health care providers, including hospitals, health systems, physician-hospital organizations, and community providers, on health care laws and general corporate matters. She provides counsel to the health care industry on a full range of transactional and regulatory health law issues and also advises health care technology firms and other vendors to the health care industry on compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. Ms. Del Negro is a member of Robinson+Cole's Health Law Group and is a regular contributor to the group’s blog Health Law Diagnosis. Ms. Del Negro was recently appointed to the Editorial Board of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Journal of Health & Life Sciences Law. She served on the editorial board for the AHLA’s corporate practice of medicine project and as Health Law and Policy Liaison to the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Health Law Section, Physician Issues Interest Group. As a member of the HITECH task force of ABA, she participated in the development of a regulatory crosswalk documenting changes to federal health care privacy laws. In addition, Ms. Del Negro has served as a member and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Pathways/Senderos Center, an organization that targets poverty-stricken youth for services designed to prevent teen pregnancy. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Watkinson School in Hartford.
