Windsor Runner Wins Harry Geraghty Invitational

Two other Warriors placed in the top 12 in their respective races.

VERNON, CT — Several runners from Windsor turned in impressive showings at the fifth annual Harry Geraghty Invitational cross country meet Saturday at Rockville High School.

Senior Brittney Brown easily won the girls varsity race, completing the 3.1 mile course in 19 minutes even, 33 seconds ahead of runnerup Isabelle Erikson of South Windsor. Rebecca Samuel of Windsor finished 12th.

On the boys' side, Sean McCarty placed sixth in the field of 75 runners.

The late Harry Geraghty coached high school cross country for nearly 40 years, including many at Rockville. He passed away in 2011.
