Windsor Seeks Lifeguards For Town Pools

The role includes supervising pool activities, teaching swim lessons and maintaining pool facilities.

WINDSOR, CT — Windsor Recreation Services is hiring lifeguards for the 2026 summer season, with positions running from Memorial Day weekend through Aug. 30. Pay starts at $17.35 an hour.

The seasonal role is based at town pools and focuses on safety, supervision and public interaction. The town describes it as an outdoor summer job for those interested in water safety and working with the public.

According to the job posting, lifeguards will monitor pool activities and events and remain ready to respond to emergencies. They will also assist with swim lessons, enforce safety rules and help maintain the pool and bathhouse areas.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and hold lifeguard certification. They must also be certified in CPR/AED and First Aid, or be willing to obtain those certifications before the season begins.

All candidates must pass a background and drug screening, including screening for marijuana. The position will remain open until filled.
