Windsor's "Wreaths Across America" Observance a Poignant Event

Thanks to All Who Attended

Windsor's American Legion Gray-Dickenson Post #59 and Carmon Community Funeral Homes thank everyone who came and paid their respects at the December 18th Wreaths Across America ceremony and wreath-placing at the Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Despite the rain, this powerful event was attended by more people than of the recent Wreaths Across America event in Windsor. Thanks to Boy Scout Troop 149 and volunteers from the Kaman Coalition for Veterans at Kaman Aircraft, and dozens of veterans' family members for laying hundreds of wreaths on the graves of local veterans. They also are very grateful to Art Sladyk and the members of South Windsor’s American Legion Post 133, whose members carried over several hundred more wreaths later that day to place and honor even more veterans.
