An abandoned female pit bull suffering from significant medical issues has been euthanized, according to the East Windsor Police Department.
Police said the gray female pit bull was found lying on a pink blanket in the wooded area of East Road. The pit bull was unable to walk and it was clear she had medical issues that needed attention, according to police.
The town’s Animal Control Officer responded and rushed the pit bull to Enfield Animal Hospital, however, police said due to her significant medical problems she was put to sleep humanely.
“These medical issues were not from abuse and it was clear someone wanted her to be found due to her location just off the road,” Police posted on Facebook. “Despite this, we are saddened someone dumped her here as there is always other options if unable to care for your pet. If anyone has any information on the owner of the pit bull we would like to hear from you at 860.292.8240.”
