Accomplishments By Windsor Locks, East Windsor College Students: 2023

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted in the coming weeks.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• More than 1,000 students were named to the President's List at Coastal Carolina University for the spring 2023 semester, including Logan Muska, from Windsor Locks. Students who made the President's List have achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the semester.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester, in which nearly 1,300 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.
  Among the students included are East Windsor residents Haleigh Thibodea, a sophomore majoring in early childhood education and psychology; Elizabeth Parlapiano, a sophomore majoring in physical education; and Brianca Sailor, a senior majoring in business administration. Windsor Locks residents making the list were Valerie Rosario, a sophomore majoring in psychology, and Luis Vazquez, a sophomore majoring in computer science. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2023 Dean's List. Local honorees were Courtney Perez, Rachel Severns and Josh Weiner, all of Windsor Locks, and Asha Patel of Broad Brook. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

• Lidia Anderson of Windsor Locks graduated from UVM with a bachelor's degree in political science.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University recently named over 570 students to the spring semester 2023 Dean's List. Local honorees were Megan Noone of Broad Brook, majoring in psychology; Trey Saavedra of Windsor Locks, majoring in biology; and Jarod Witzke of Broad Brook, majoring in mechanical engineering.
