EAST WINDSOR, CT — East Windsor Public Schools said it has secured a competitive grant for the third straight year to run its Summer Enrichment Program for K-4 students.
The district announced the program was fully funded at $237,419 and will again be held at Broad Brook Elementary School. According to the district, the grant will allow the summer program to be offered at no cost to participating families.
School officials said the program will include early literacy and STEM learning opportunities, along with recreational experiences at the East Windsor Reservoir through a partnership with East Windsor Parks and Recreation.
In its announcement, the district credited Assistant Superintendent Darryl Rouillard for his leadership and work in writing and securing the grant.
East Windsor Public Schools said the opportunity is made possible through its partnership with the Hartford Choice Program, which keeps the district eligible for the competitive funding.
More information on registration and sign-ups will be shared in the coming weeks through Broad Brook Elementary School communications.
