• Family escapes Windsor Locks house fire after smoke alarms (thehour.com) — A Windsor Locks family escaped a serious early-morning house fire on Volunteer Drive after working smoke alarms alerted them, though the blaze displaced them from their home. Firefighters from Windsor Locks, Warehouse Point, and Bradley Airport quickly knocked down the flames, and officials are still investigating the cause while urging residents to maintain smoke alarms on every level and outside bedrooms.
