EAST WINDSOR, CT — Scantic Road was closed Wednesday after a vehicle hit a utility pole near 162 Scantic Road.
East Windsor Police Lt. Derek Leab told Patch no one was injured or transported from the scene.
The crash sparked an active vegetation fire, according to the Broad Brook Fire Department. Broad Brook and Warehouse Point firefighters were operating at the scene.
The road was closed between Cemetery and Woolam roads as crews awaited Eversource to secure power before repairs could begin.
