East Windsor Road Closed After Tree Hits Power Lines

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A large tree branch came down across Depot Street and involved power lines Wednesday, leaving a section of the road impassable, firefighters said.

Broad Brook and Warehouse Point firefighters were working at the scene near 146 Depot St., according to the Broad Brook Fire Department.

Depot Street is impassable between East Road and Perri Lane. Eversource has been notified and firefighters were waiting for the utility to arrive, the department said.

Drivers should avoid the area and use an alternate route. No information on injuries was immediately released.
