WINDSOR LOCKS/EAST WINDSOR, CT — A Friday morning ceremony in Windsor Locks will honor the firefighters killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The remembrance will begin at 9 a.m. at the Connecticut Fire Academy, 34 Perimeter Road.
Each FDNY member who died on Sept. 11 will be represented by a small memorial sign bearing an official fire department photograph, according to a statewide roundup of Connecticut observances.
The attacks killed 2,977 people, including 343 FDNY firefighters.
No separate East Windsor remembrance was listed on the town's official calendar as of Thursday.
