State police said Tucker Douglas Luke Rajala, 29, was traveling in the right lane when his vehicle struck the back of a Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcycle was operated by a 58-year-old Bloomfield man. He suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital, police said.

Rajala was given a field sobriety test at the scene and taken into custody after failing it, according to state police.
