- Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) began its 150th Commencement celebrations with the graduate students' ceremony on Thursday, May 10, awarding nearly 830 master's and doctoral degrees. Steven Jewell of Windsor Locks was awarded a master of science degree in manufacturing engineering, and Dinesh Patel of Windsor Locks was awarded a master of science degree in systems engineering.
