Body Found In Connecticut River In East Windsor Identified: Police
Workers on the Dexter Coffin Bridge saw the body in the river late Saturday morning, according to police.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Police have identified the body recovered from the Connecticut River late Saturday morning as that of a Massachusetts man.
Around 11:20 a.m., workers on the Dexter Coffin Bridge saw a body in the river near South Water Street. It was brought ashore and later identified as Joseph Cooper, 42, according to Police Chief Matthew Carl.
Police are awaiting autopsy results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner before releasing any more details, Carl said.

"We can not confirm if it was the same person reported to have jumped from the 190 bridge in Enfield the previous evening," the chief said.
