Bradley Airport Lands On List Of Nation's Best

Bradley International Airport is ranked high, according to a Condé Nast survey.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Bradley International Airport ranked third in the country in the Readers' Choice Awards by Condé Nast Traveler. The airport is the second-busiest in New England after Boston's Logan.

Bradley scored points for offering flyers a wide range of popular destinations, such as Aer Lingus service to Ireland and Spirit service to Florida.

The article noted: "Customers praise the airport's convenient on-site parking, plentiful charging stations and free Wi-Fi, decent restaurant options, and an overall relaxed atmosphere, making this mid-sized facility an attractive alternative to flying out of New York’s and Boston’s monster hubs."

The Portland and Indianapolis airports were the only two to score higher than Bradley.

"A modern, efficient transportation system is critical to growing our economy, attracting business, and increasing job growth for Connecticut residents," Gov. Dannel Malloy said in a statement. "Several years ago, we created the Connecticut Airport Authority to free Bradley International Airport from the bureaucracy that has hamstrung the airport in the past and bring a renewed focus that will help make it more attractive to new routes, new airlines, and new ways to increase our state’s economic viability – and those efforts are being internationally recognized."
