Bradley Airport’s Only Lounge Just Got A Major Upgrade
The airport's only lounge has doubled down on space, food options and early morning access for departing passengers.
WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Travelers flying out of Bradley International Airport have a bigger and upgraded place to relax before takeoff.
The newly renovated Escape Lounge officially reopened Wednesday morning after months of expansion and remodeling, airport officials announced.
Operated by CAVU under its Escape Lounges brand, the space is the only passenger lounge at Bradley. It closed last summer for what officials described as an extensive expansion project.

The updated lounge now features a larger footprint with increased seating capacity, a bigger kitchen and bar area that supports a more robust food and beverage menu, and expanded hours. It is now open daily from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“The Escape Lounge at Bradley International Airport has been a popular destination for passengers over the years,” said Michael W. Shea, executive director and CEO of the Connecticut Airport Authority. “The expansion in size and offerings is a major upgrade to an already highly regarded amenity and builds on the terminal-wide modernization and customer improvement efforts we have undertaken over the last year.”

The lounge is located in Bradley’s east concourse near gates 1 through 12. It offers departing passengers hot and cold dishes, beverages, dedicated WiFi, and a quieter seating area away from the main terminal.
Access is available for a fee, or complimentary through certain credit cards and travel memberships. The lounge is open to individual travelers and families, with children 3 and under admitted free.

Shelby Shenkelman, commercial manager for the Americas at CAVU, said the renovation reflects the company’s continued investment in improving the airport experience.
Bradley International Airport is operated by the Connecticut Airport Authority and serves more than 40 nonstop destinations on nine airlines.
