Broad Brook Woman Charged with Child Abuse
A 6-month-old baby sustained injuries at the hands of her foster mother, according to police.

A Broad Brook woman has been charged in connection with the abuse of a 6-month-old baby in her care.
Danielle Clark, 23, is charged with second-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor.
She was held on $150,000 bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Enfield Superior Court.

East Windsor detectives began investigating possible abuse the baby in early August. The baby had injuries to the front and back of its head, torso, eyes and arms, and evaluation at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford described the injuries as ”substantial but not life-threatening,” police said.
After many hours of thorough investigative work by detectives, an arrest warrant was issued for Clark, the child’s foster mother.She was arrested on the warrant Sunday night.
