History Comes Alive: The Barnes Family & 1800s Cooking

Learn about the history of our Library’s fireplace & the original owners of the house, the Barnes family, on Saturday, May 16 at 1 p.m. The talk will include a tour around 1820s fireplace and describe cooking methods in 1800s. The program will include a reenactment and short video explaining how food was prepared and prepackaged in the 1800s. This program is for adults and older children. No registration needed.
