• Stephanie Cota of Broad Brook is one of 16 students spending the spring semester studying abroad at Assumption College's Rome Campus where the city and country of Italy become a living classroom.
  Established in 2013, Assumption's Rome Campus provides students with a transformative experience during their semester abroad. The campus, within walking distance to St. Peter's Basilica and other historical sites, is located in a residential area where students become part of the neighborhood and interact and befriend authentic "Romans." The semester-long program offers students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the culture and history of the region. The unique courses, taught by Assumption faculty, take full advantage of all that the city-and country-has to offer. Faculty lead visits to culturally and historically significant locations in Rome, with the purpose of using the city as a classroom. Travel is an important part of the Rome experience. Trips to other sites and cities are included in tuition. Housing includes both classrooms and living accommodations, where students enjoy family-style meals in an elegant dining room prepared by an authentic Italian chef.

Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY

• Nancy Montemerlo of Windsor Locks has been named to the Marist College Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. She is a member of the Class of 2018 and is majoring in Psychology/Special Education.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Nicholas Desrosiers of Broad Brook has been named to the President's List at Western New England University for the fall 2016 semester. Desrosiers is working toward a degree in Criminal Justice - Criminal Investigation Concentration. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.
• Brett Sherman of Windsor Locks has been named to the Dean's List at Western New England University for the fall semester of 2016. Sherman is working toward a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
• Clayton Cassone of Broad Brook, working toward a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, was named to Western New England University's Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. Students named to the Dean's List earned at least a 3.30 grade point average.
