Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University Biology Professor Kristen Epp is participating in an ongoing research project in the form of a salamander survey that is taking place at a local eastern Connecticut location. A number of her students participated in a series of survey events during the fall semester, including Zachary Kudra, whose major is Biochemistry.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College's President's List for the fall 2016 session includes 309 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Local students are John Lawrence of Broad Brook, Megan Palma of Broad Brook, Camryn Davis of Windsor Locks, Corey Lewandowski of Windsor Locks, Carli Michael of Windsor Locks, Kayla Pelletier of Windsor Locks, Kaileigh Perez of Windsor Locks, Lucas Pharattanavong of Windsor Locks and Hannah Rossignol of Windsor Locks.
• Goodwin College announces that 975 students, including 25 from Broad Brook, East Windsor and Windsor Locks, achieved Dean's List status for the fall 2016 session. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify. Local honorees are:
