WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College's President's List for the fall 2017 session includes 302 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Local students earning that designation are Michelle Dederer and Joshua Dempsey of Broad Brook, and Alysia Levick of Windsor Locks.
• Goodwin College announces that 963 students achieved Dean's List status for the fall 2017 session. Honorees from East Windsor are Michelle Dederer, Joshua Dempsey, Claudia Flores, Brittany Hestad, Tyler Lockwood, Justin Piercy and Joneymi Rodriguez, while Windsor Locks residents Alysia Levick and Chyna McMillian also received the distinction.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

• Saeed Akbar of Windsor Locks, who is in the electrical engineering program, made the Dean's List for the fall semester at Rochester Institute of Technology. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University congratulates 412 students named to the fall 2017-2018 President's List. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher. Local honorees are Nicholas Desrosiers of Broad Brook, majoring in Criminal Justice with a Criminal Investigation Concentration; Gabrielle Kiss of Windsor Locks, majoring in Communication - Media Theory & Production; and Brett Sherman of Windsor Locks, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
• Aubrey Vargas, of East Windsor, has been named to the Dean's List at Western New England University for the fall semester of 2017. Vargas is working toward a degree in Marketing-Communication / Advertising. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
