Ashland University, Ashland OH

• Michael Gentile of Windsor Locks was named to Ashland University's Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Gentile is majoring in criminal justice, and is a 2013 graduate of Windsor Locks High School. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be enrolled full time at Ashland University and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Ashley Paleski of Broad Brook was named to the Emmanuel College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Lasell College recently named Jonnathan Oliveira of Windsor Locks to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Oliveira, whose major is Legal Studies, is a member of the class of 2018. To achieve the academic honor of being named to the Dean's List, a student must be full-time carrying 12 or more graded credits for the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• Five local residents were among the approximately 1,000 graduates who received their degrees at the University of Hartford's Undergraduate Commencement on Sunday, May 21: Adam Pinney of Windsor Locks, an accounting major in the University's Barney School of Business, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Neil Sadaria of Windsor Locks, an insurance and finance major in the University's Barney School of Business, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Ryan Bagdikian of East Windsor, a communication major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, received a Bachelor of Arts; Desonte Jolivet of Broad Brook, a computer science major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, received a Bachelor of Science; and Bryan Haricharan of East Windsor, a computer engineering major in the University's College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
