Car Hits Utility Pole, Closing Depot Street In East Windsor

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Depot Street is closed after a vehicle struck a utility pole on Monday, according to the Broad Brook Fire Department.

Fire officials said crews from Broad Brook and Warehouse Point responded to the crash in the area between East Road and the Ellington town line.

The impact left the pole damaged and the roadway blocked. The section of Depot Street will remain shut down for an extended period while Frontier arrives to replace the pole and make the road safe for travel, officials said.

Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes until the repairs are complete.
