CERT Teams Calling on East Windsor, Windsor Locks Residents
Training is being offered for those who want to join the regional emergency response teams.

The North Central Connecticut Community Emergency Response Teams are looking to bolster their rosters with community members wanting to assist police, firefighters and other officials at things like critical incidents, search-and-rescue operations and community events.
The CERT teams are hosting a free, 20-hour training program with classes beginning on Saturday, April 8 and continuing on Saturday, April 22 and Saturday, May 13. Classes will be offered from 8 a.m to 4 p.m. with the first class at the Stafford Senior Center, 3 Buckley Hwy, Stafford.
Training topics include disaster preparedness, disaster medical operations, basic fire safety, terrorism, disaster psychology, team organization, and basic search-and-rescue. The training includes both classroom and hands-on experiences.

Class size is limited to the first 25 registrants and you must be at least 21 years of age to participate. To register, please email VernonCERT@yahoo.com.
