Child Approached By Suspicious Person Near Windsor Locks School

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Police are investigating following a report that a man in a van approached a child and asked him to get into the vehicle, according to NBC. The child, a student at Pine Meadow School, was walking on Center Street at 9 a.m. when the suspicious person in a white contractor van approached.

The child then ran to Pine Meadow and the driver left, taking a right onto Grove Street. The suspect is between 25 and 40 years old with scruffy facial hair, wearing a blue beanie hat and a dark hooded sweatshirt, NBC reported.
