College Milestones: Windsor Locks/East Windsor Students, Spring 2023

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted in the coming weeks.

Goodwin University, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin University's President's List for the spring 2023 session includes 270 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Among them are Nahia Alnaimi and Scarlette Lowderback, both of Windsor Locks, and William Noonan of Broad Brook.
• Goodwin University announces 652 students achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2023 session, including Nahia Alnaimi, Ashley Bray, Caitlin Lawles, Scarlette Lowderback, Malarie Mikalonis and Tyrone Reid, all of Windsor Locks, and William Noonan of Broad Brook.

Lasell University, Newton MA

• Alexys Suojanen, a Lasell University student from Windsor Locks, was named to the dean's list for academic performance in the spring 2023 semester. The spring 2023 dean's list includes students who have completed at least 12 credits as a full-time student in that semester and have achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Manchester Community College, Manchester CT

• Anthony Piteo, Paullet Sailor, Christopher Scheidecker and Devaunte Suarez, all of East Windsor, and Miranda Brown, Jonathan Carey, Jovany Godefroy, Tatiana Nelson-Diaz, Natalia Suchedina, James Veit and Elizabeth Zurolo, all of Windsor Locks, graduated from Manchester Community College on May 25.

Regis College, Weston MA

• Anthony Corso of Broad Brook was named to Regis College's spring 2023 Dean's List. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Regis sophomores, juniors, seniors, and professional studies students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher; first-year students must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College recognizes five local students for being named to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2023 spring semester: Michael Auretta, Katelyn Blume and Cole Crynock, all of East Windsor; and Kendra Lash and Alexis Long, both of Windsor Locks. The criteria for selection to the Dean's List are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of "P" grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Joseph Kowalski of Broad Brook was welcomed into Pi Mu Epsilon National Honor Society on April 28 at the University's annual induction ceremony in the Blake Law Center. Pi Mu Epsilon is the national honor society for Mathematics. The society is dedicated to the promotion and recognition of scholarly activity in the Mathematical science among students at the University. Kowalski is working toward a BS in actuarial science.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Worcester Polytechnic Institute's 154th Commencement exercises on May 13 included two graduates from East Windsor: Nicholas Willey, who majored in civil engineering, and Noah Willey, who majored in management engineering.
