Dates to Note on the Windsor Locks and East Windsor School Calendars

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Summer may not officially be over for another month, but summer vacation is about to end for Windsor Locks and East Windsor students, who return to school in less than three weeks.

Here are six important dates to note on the 2016-17 Windsor Locks Public Schools calendar:

• Aug. 25, 2016 - first practice day for fall sports
• Sept. 1, 2016 - first day of classes for students
• Dec. 26, 2016 through Jan. 2, 2017 - winter break
• Feb. 20-21, 2017 - Presidents Day weekend
• Apr. 10-14, 2017 - April break
• June 12, 2017 - last scheduled day of classes

In East Windsor, dates to remember are:

• Aug. 25, 2016 - first practice day for fall sports
• Sept. 6, 2016 - first day (Gr. 1-9); Sept. 7, 2016, Gr. 10-12

• Feb. 20-21, 2017 - Presidents Day weekend
• Apr. 10-14, 2017 - April break
• June 14, 2017 - last scheduled day of classes
