Drunk Driver Crashes Into Parked Vehicle, House: Windsor Locks Police
Police found the vehicle pinned against a tree when they arrived on the scene.

Windsor Locks Police have arrested a woman on DUI charges after she allegedly crashed into a house and a parked vehicle early Friday morning.
Police responded to 103 West Street at about 1:21 a.m. on July 24 and investigation revealed that the suspect vehicle struck a parked vehicle at that address.
Police said skid marks were seen all over the rear yard and the suspects’ vehicle was pinned against a tree and the driver’s side door was against the tree.

A woman exited from the passenger side door and was identified as Melody Albert, 23.
Police said investigation revealed that Albert left the Shamrock bar and was traveling westbound on North Street when she lost control of her vehicle, jumped the curb and sideswiped the parked vehicle and ended up in the back yard.

She was stuck in the grass and tried to get out. As she tried to get out of the grassy area, she lost control and slid into a tree where her vehicle was now stuck, according to police.
Albert failed a field sobriety test and was arrested, according to police.
Albert was charged with operating while under the influence of liquor, drugs or both and improper turn. She is due in court on Aug. 10.
