East Windsor Ballplayer Selected by Cleveland Indians in MLB Draft

An East Windsor resident was the first Connecticut baseball player selected during the three-day Major League Baseball draft last week.

Aaron Civale, a right-handed pitcher who played scholastically at Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor and recently finished his junior year at Northeastern University, was chosen in the third round with the 92nd overall pick by the Cleveland Indians.

Civale is one of 11 players with Connecticut ties who were drafted. The complete list follows:
