East Windsor Bust Yields Assault Weapons, Large Marijuana Grow
A local man was arrested after a police raid of his home.

EAST WINDSOR, CT - A Broad Brook man was arrested on a litany of charges after an investigation allegedly found a large-scale marijuana operation and numerous high-powered rifles at a Wesley Road home, according to state police. Marc Betancourt, 45, was charged on numerous counts including second-degree reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor, operation of a drug factory and second-degree possession of an assault weapon.
The drugs found at Betancourt's home included 193 marijuana plants, 1153 grams of processed marijuana, along with seeds, grow equipment, scales and packaging. The guns included an Uzi, an AK-47 with a loaded magazine, an AR-15 and a bump stock used for additional ammunition.
Betancourt was held on $250,000 bond and will appear in court Friday.
