East Windsor To Buy Property For New Senior Center
The town plans to repurpose a local church and convert it into a senior center.

EAST WINDSOR, CT - The town's Board of Selectmen recently voted to approve negotiating a sale price on Grace Episcopal Church with the goal of converting the property into a senior center, the Journal-Inquirer reported. The current senior center shares space with the Broad Brook Fire Department.

The 5,800-square-foot church would require $220,000 in initial work plus $400,000 in renovations. Accessibility issues would need to be immediately addressed to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
