What office are you seeking? Board of Selectmen

Party affiliation: Republican

Education: East Windsor High School graduate

What is your occupation? 35 years of retail sales and service

Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.

I am married with two children and many generations of my family have lived in East Windsor.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government? No

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

I have served on the Board of Selectmen since 2019. I have served on the Warehouse Point Fire Commission since 2017.

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I have proudly served East Windsor in this role for the past four years. The current board of Selectmen have been moving East Windsor in a positive direction and I want to continue to be part of a team that keeps that momentum going.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Industrial Solar
Now that East Windsor has exceeded hosting its share of Industrial Solar we need to attack the state on this issue. We need to collaborate with our state representatives and the siting council to make them equally distribute the placement of Industrial Solar throughout the state.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am the only candidate for the Board of Selectmen with children in the school system.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

The current Board has put politics aside in order to work and compromise together to achieve positive change in East Windsor. This was the reason I ran for my first term four years ago. East Windsor was way overdue for a change from the common political rhetoric we often see which accomplishes very little.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Some of my goals for the next term would be collaborative improvements for our education system. Including a long term plan for school renovations. Improving our partnership relations with North Central Health. Innovative ways to get the citizens involved in more community events, clubs, boards and commissions.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Many of the goals and change I wanted to see accomplished before winning the seat in 2019 have been achieved. Improving the customer service level in our planning and building department. Equalizing fire taxation for both sides of town. Making East Windsor a more inviting place for new businesses. And improving moral within our Police department are just some of the goals we have accomplished. I now have some new goals that a collaborative board can make happen.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

I am not sure how much it holds true, but I feel the best advice I was ever given was to buy a king size bed upon getting married. I have been married to a wonderful wife for over 20 years.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Government moves slow and East Windsor is just starting to see the great things the current board has managed to achieve in the past four years. Let's keep moving East Windsor forward for the benefit of every citizen and vote the incumbents back to the table for another 2 years of bipartisan achievements.
