East Windsor Events, Road Closures Coming Over Next Few Weeks
East Windsor is rolling out several community events over the next few weeks, along with temporary road and boat launch closures.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — East Windsor residents have several town events and temporary closures to keep in mind over the next few weeks.
The town will host a bulky waste and metal drop-off event Saturday at USA Hauling, 9 Shoham Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Drivers must show proof of East Windsor residency to take part.
Next Saturday, April 25, the East Windsor Local Prevention Council will sponsor a Community Prevention Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center, 28 Abbe Road. The event will include interactive prevention simulations, educational activities, community resource tables, games, raffles and food for all ages.

Residents should also expect road closures on Depot Street between Main Street and Emily Road on April 25 and April 26. The Broad Brook Fire Department will be conducting mandatory training at the Broad Brook Pond boat launch, which will also be closed during that time.
Closures are scheduled for April 25 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and April 26 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Officials said the boat launch will be closed during the training.

The East Windsor Community Fund Advisory Committee is also looking for new members. The committee will hold a New Volunteer Open House on May 7 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Trolley Museum for anyone interested in learning more about getting involved.
