Eighty percent of all visual impairment can be prevented or cured. The first step to prevention is awareness. The second is early detection through vision screening. For the past few years, the East Windsor Lions Club has conducted an annual vision screening for pre-schoolers to identify those children who may be at risk for vision loss. Early identification of vision problems leads to timely referral, professional treatment, and improved or restored sight.
