East Windsor Man Nabbed in Hartford Narcotic Bust

A two-month investigation into illegal crack cocaine sales at a Hartford business led to the arrest of a convicted felon, police said.

HARTFORD, CT — A two-month investigation into illegal crack cocaine sales at a Hartford business led to the arrest Wednesday of a convicted felon whose last known address was in East Windsor.

During the months of September and October, based on citizen complaints, vice and narcotics detectives initiated an investigation into illegal narcotic sales from D&D Variety Wireless Smokers Depot, located at 205B Sisson Ave. The investigation led detectives to obtain a search warrant, Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley said.

On Wednesday, detectives conducted the warrant execution operation, and took Dixon Fields, 28, a convicted felon, into custody for numerous narcotics-related charges, along with possession of ammunition, Foley said.

Detectives seized about 300 grams of crack cocaine, 10.1 ounces of marijuana, 106 Viagra pills, digital scales, narcotics packaging and materials and approximately $4,800.00 in cash, Foley said.

Fields was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of prescription pills, operating a drug factory and criminal possession of ammunition.
