East Windsor Man Robbed Family Dollar, Resisted Arrest: Police

A man is accused of robbing a Windsor Locks store and fleeing from police.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Police have arrested an East Windsor man who allegedly robbed a Dexter Avenue Family Dollar store. Colin Theobold, 31, was charged with third-degree robbery, interfering with police, and sixth-degree larceny.

Police received a report regarding a man who grabbed cash from the store's register and fled in an SUV. The description of the suspect and summary of events were were similar to previous robberies at same location.

Police responded to the area of the home of the suspect from previous robberies in an attempt to locate and interview him, but he fled on foot.

Windsor Locks and East Windsor officers were able to locate Theobold in the woods.

He was held on $50,000 bond and released on a promise to appear in court April 5.
