
Bernadine O. Ray, 90, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2016.
She was born on March, 6, 1926 in Newton, MA to the late Jane (Porter) and Saul Opper. Bernadine enjoyed volunteering at the East Windsor library and was a member with many special friends at the East Windsor Senior Center. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, yoga, needlepoint and was an active member in the book club. She was a Red Hat Lady and enjoyed going to plays at the Broad Brook Play House.
She is survived by her son, Scott Ray and his wife Karen of Somers, Daughters, Patricia Ray of Enfield and Lauren Georges and her husband Mark of Grandby, MA, Grandchildren, Allison Arey and her husband Jason, Corrine Bindas and her husband Brian, Amber Georges and Casey Ray; Great- Grandchildren, Trenton, Madelyn and Jillian; Sisters, Carol Canner and her husband Carl of Groton, MA, Vicky Falk and her husband Billy of Newton, MA, and June Opper and her husband Martin. Besides her parents she is pre-deceased by her loving Husband M. Whitman Ray, Jr. and her sisters Pauline Brest and Adrianne Opper.

Friends and relatives may join the family on Sunday, December 4, 2016 between 2pm-4pm at the Bassinger and Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
