
John J Crispino, 94, of East Windsor, beloved husband of the late Santa Crispino died peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 12, 1922 in South Willington, son of the late Salvatore and Giovannia (Fargnoli) Crispino. John grew up in Willington and served our country in WWII with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Upon returning from the service he married the love of his life, Santa Crispino on August 8, 1953.
He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 1986 after 30 years of service. John was a past member of the Elks Lodge in Chicopee, MA, and a member of the VFW. He enjoyed square dancing and ball room dancing in his younger years. An avid sports fan he enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and the UConn Women's Basketball.

His family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the St. Francis Hospital 8th floor Hospice Unit for their kind and compassionate care.
He leaves his daughters, Joanna Stetson and her husband Wayne of Enfield, and Michele Martin and her husband Clifford of East Windsor; his grandchildren, John Stetson and his wife Amber, Christopher Stetson, Shane Martin, and Courtney Martin and her husband Eric; and his great grandchildren, Kayla Stetson, Hayden Stetson, and Connor Stetson. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alec, Sam, Anthony, and Benito Crispino.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 1-2 PM., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor; a Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home at 2 PM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Hospice, 95 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105.
