
Louis A. Johnson, 58, of Enfield, was taken from us suddenly on Wednesday, May 16. The family will have a visitation period on Sunday, May 27, from 1-5 pm, immediately followed by a short service officiated by Rev. M. Coons at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield.
Lou was born in East Windsor on October 13, 1959. He attended and graduated from East Windsor High School. Lou was married to the love of his life, Kathy Johnson (neé Titus) on October 16, 1986; they were married for 31 years.
Lou was larger than life with a contagious smile that would illuminate every inch of every room he entered. He was always up for a debate, but even in the middle of a heated argument he managed to be a gentle soul. He was a dedicated and hard worker, he also played just as hard.

An avid lover of music, he was a singer, songwriter, and a musician’s musician in nearly any instrumental capacity. However, the guitar was the way he spoke from his soul. His collection of 40 guitars and bass’ were a testament to his love for the guitar.
Lou worked as a business development manager for Laminated Plastics for a year and a half, however Lou had been in business development and sales for more than 35 years.

He loved the people who served our country in the military, as he had a son in the Marine Corps and a daughter in the Army. Lou donated his time generously to the Westover Young Marines and served on the board of directors for the national component of the Young Marines. He was also an active member of the Marine Corps League.
Lou is survived by his soulmate and wife, Kathy, his daughter and her husband Jessica and Matthew Goodwin, his grandchildren Maya Belle and Ronan Philip Goodwin, his brother William S. Johnson, his sister Josephine Johnson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and loving extended family members. Lou is preceded in death by his father William L. Johnson, his mother Helen Johnson (neé Plona), and son LCpl Philip A. Johnson.
