East Windsor Obituary: Rita Osella, 84

Condolences to her family and friends.

Rita (Millix) Osella, 84, of Broad Brook, beloved wife of the late David Osella died peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at home, surrounded by her family.

Rita was born in Rockville to the late Konstanty and Rose (Spusta) Millix on February 16, 1934. Rita was a lifelong member of St. Bernard Church. She was married to David Osella and for over 55 years they remained devoted to each other and their family.

Rita will be remembered as a woman of strong faith. She had a wide variety of interests, including knitting, reading, and spending time at the beach. A loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend she will be dearly missed.

She leaves her children, David (John), Peter (Michelle), Thomas, Michael (Ivonne), Paul (Holly); and Mary. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Virginiarose, Avery, Sunshine, Jakob, Adam, Amy, Rafael, and Peter; as well as her sister-in-law, Laurel Millix, and brother-in-law, Ronald Osella (Joan). She was predeceased by her brothers, Norbert Millix, and Donald Millix.

Her family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 2 - 5 p.m., at the Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., Vernon. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018, 10 a.m., at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard’s Terrace, Vernon. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard’s Terrace, Vernon, CT 06066 and /or Johnson Memorial Cancer Center, 142 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT 06082.
